Research

My primary research interests are in exoplanet discovery and characterization. I'm looking to combine my talents in physics, computer science and data analysis to discover new worlds and create new insights.

My final-year thesis involves the discovery of a Jupiter-sized exoplanet orbiting a F-type star. The findings are pending review for publishing.

Teaching

"Those who know, do. Those who understand, teach."

Teaching gives me great joy, especially when one sees that spark of understanding in your student's eyes. I've had the pleasure to teach undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Astrophysics and Research.

Classes Taught

Programming Methodology
Instructed groups of 12 undergraduate students in programming methodology fundamentals and Python through oral tutorial and coding demonstrations.

Awarded twice as a Honour List Student Tutor, and received a positive teaching feedback score of 4.9/5.0 (Department average 4.4/5.0)

The Universe
Instructed groups of 20 undergraduate students in introductory astrophysics and university-level physics through interactive oral sessions, hands-on experiments, and telescope practicals.

Migrated course material to an accessible, online website.

Integrated Research Project

Mentored a student research project focused on using machine learning to detect Parkinsons’s Disease tremors in monkeys.

Activities Led

Videography

Mentored focused teams on videography techniques, movement, and live-streaming.

Photography

Mentored teams on astrophotography, architecture and landscape photography. Brought teams for focused photo walks.
